The Star Wars franchise has spanned over four decades since the release of A New Hope. Since its release in 1977, Star Wars now consists of movies, shows, comics, and books. In a recent issue of Vanity Fair, the franchise offered a look into its plans when it came to the franchise. The Mandalorian’s popularity is proof that fans are always looking to watch more shows. The issue revealed that apart from the recently released Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Andor’s release is scheduled for this summer, the third season of the Mandalorian will release at the end of the year 2022 or in early 2023[AA1] , and Ahsoka is scheduled for release next year.
The franchise has a roadmap that includes a movie being directed by Taika Waititi, Rogue Squadron being directed by Patty Jenkins a bit later on, and even Rian Johnson’s trilogy on the docket. In addition, there’s a series centered on the very charming Lando Calrissian.
